Every summer, I get the same question from my clients. What is the one, must have beauty product for the Summer? Assuming, I will show them a new highlight shade, Limited edition eye-shadows or bright shade lipsticks.
For many years, personally it’s the Sunscreen, known as SPF. Besides preventing the skin from being fried under the sun, Sunscreen has many benefits:
- Slows down the aging process
- Prevents skin discoloration.
- Prevents skin redness and dehydration.
- Prevents sunburn
Have you ask yourself, what’s the difference between grapes and raisins?? It’s basically the same fruit…
Grapes (as a fruit) are nicely round, juicy and soft. The grapes skin is stretched smooth.
Raisins are grapes that have been dried in the sun… in the process the grapes shrink, the delight grape juice evaporates, the skin sags and the beautiful grapes darken, harden and dry out.
Same process happens to our skin. Staying in the sun, without applying Sunscreen has an imminent damage of skin dehydrate, redness and sun burns. The skin also loses its luminosity and volume.
There're Long term damage too. Skin discoloration and dark spots, wrinkles, permanent redness and even skin cancer.
Wanna stay pretty and protected? Add Sunscreen to your daily skincare routine – applied it over your moisturizer. Remember to apply sunscreen every 2 hours. This is my recommendation based on my experience of more than a decade as a makeup artist and a beauty consultant, but it is important that you remember that the only person you can rely on is the dermatologist.
Remember, be smart in the sun.
